It has been awhile
Let me see hmmmm, what is there to tell. I was on nights for a month and a half, off for 3 weeks and then back on nights after next weekend. For 3 weeks. That kinda sucks having them split. Twists my whole routine around and then takes me a while to get back to normal. The kids are doing great. Devin is talking like a trooper and Ian is following suit, tho much harder to understand. But he is willing to try to talk and some things come out pretty clear. He is trying to cut his 2 bottom eye teeth. The top ones came in a month or so ago and now is fighting to get the 2 bottom ones thru. He sure has a lot tougher time with his teeth cutting then Devin ever did. We could never even tell he was cutting teeth until you saw them. Not much new around the home front. Dave has been walking the dogs daily around 3-4 miles. They all seem to look forward to that. I have put a picture of them walking on the blog. The pup - tho she is bigger then Kodi now is the one on the right. She is a wonderful dog, we sure can't complain much about her. She is so so quiet (touch wood), but malamutes don't bark much, and I have only heard her bark a couple of times. They have this special mal talk, that is really neat and pretty cool. She does howl, but usually only at sirens and that's because the other dogs really get into the howling at sirens, they really sing up a storm. Some day I will video tape them and put it up on facebook. Anyway, I will blog some more after next weekend as it is Devin's 3rd birthday, wow that is so hard to believe, and Jodi is having his party on Sat. Aug. 25. We are taking him to tinkertown on Tuesday, for his birthday, so that should be fun. Talk to you all later. Bye for now
P.S. Forgot to mention what a great retirement party for Bob L. we had a wonderful time. Congrats Bob and have fun with retirement.

Fun at the Fair
This past weekend was Selkirk Fair and Rodeo. Friday brought the grandkids (and their parents) to Selkirk for Children's Day and the annual Friday night Demolition Derby. We had a great time. It poured rain at 4:00 and then we wandered down to the grounds. The boys went on a couple of rides, which they enjoyed. Devin loved riding the cars, seems he has expensive taste in vehicles (look out dad) as the only car he would drive was the blue corvette. We also went to the petting zoo. They allowed you right in with the animals, so I took Devin in with the chickens, ducks, bunnies, goats, little pigs, etc. He loved it. Ian petted from the outside of the pen. He was sooooo excited with the animals. They really did have a great time. Hopefully next year, they both will have a good time and be able to ride lots of rides. They are surely keeping us busy and on our toes. Ian has started to talk some. Says a few things, and Devin is non stop. Smart as a whip that boy. Picks up all sorts of stuff that you don't expect. Cracks me up. They both love to play outside, too bad the mosquitos are so plentiful. It really makes it difficult for them to enjoy themselves. Ian is the clown and the climber, and he loves to tease his brother. They are such precious little boys, and I can't express in words the love and joy I feel for them. My heart feels so big and full of love that at anytime it may explode!!!!! That's how wonderful it feels.....................
I have attached some photos from the fair. Hope you all enjoy.

F.Y.I.
For all the "Thomas the Train" fans - there has been a recall on some of the Thomas the Train wooden toys. Seems the paint used on them has lead in it. I think the recall web site was either
recall.rc2.com or recall.r2c.com, something like that.

Playtime for all
Hello to all...........Time sure flies. Seems just yesterday that I blogged, and then I check and it was almost a month ago. I love reading everyone's blogs and keeping up with new pics and news of all the family. Keeps us up to date and in the loop. As you can see, Dekko, our 4 mth old Alaskan Malamute has really grown. She is so much fun. Pretty calm and quiet tho. Except that she has found that she can reach clothes on the clothesline.............so I have to watch her like a hawk when I have stuff hanging out. Her last weigh in was on Friday and she weighed 45 lbs. She's almost as big as Kodi. She definitely is as long, she just needs a little more height. The boys - well they are just a blast. Ian is cruising all over the place, and both him and Devin just love to be outside. They can play for hours out their with their trucks, loaders, shovels, whatever they find. Ian has 2 molars through and the other 2 are almost ready to pop thru. And the little fart is already starting to say the odd word. Like "Daddy" and "Yee Haw" from the Dukes of Hazard. He mimics all sorts of sounds and tries very hard to repeat words that we say. And Devin - well he is just growing up way too fast. He's almost 3, that is so hard to believe. And that boy just blows me away with his manners. The other day he brought me my purse, I said Thank you Devin, he said "Your welcome Grandma". I just thought that was incredible coming from such a little person. Anyway, I have posted a pic of my 3 little tykes on the blog. Talk to all soon. We are off to Deloraine tomorrow for an overnight with Dad.

A Tribute to Mom
Happy Mother's Day Mom
This is for you Mom, I miss you so. I think of you every minute of every day. I love you.
If I could only ask God -- in His high place
To bring back her youth and forever erase,
Those tired worried lines from her dear sweet face,
If I could only ask God -- for just one more request,
to lay my tired head on her warm mother's breast
If I could only ask God through his great power
To relive with mother just one more hour
I would cherish the moments when she would hold me so close,
and brush away the tears when I hurt the most.
If I could only ask...
I'd remember the times she calmed all my fears
just by her presence through the years.
My mother was precious and so is her love
because it's given unselfishly and came from above.
If I could only ask God for some way to convey
the love for my mother that I feel every day.
May God and my mother forgive me I pray
for any grief or trouble that I have brought her way.
So now I'm asking you God to please keep her near
So she may teach me to wipe away the tears

The birthday Boy
Hello to all. Well seems like this past year has gone way too fast. Ian is already a year old. Wow - hard to believe. Time slips by so quickly and they grow and change so fast. Ian decided to start walking on his 1st birthday, after everyone left the party. Tootles around pretty good. He had a wonderful day. Lots of good food, wonderful presents and great company. Between 30 and 40 people in the house. It was a nice day so some of the older kids played alot outside. Happy Belated Birthday to Ella and Stephanie B. who all celebrated their birthdays within 10 days of Ian. Ian finally cut tooth #8. That was a mean one lol. He goes for his needle tomorrow. Hopefully this will go smoothly. Devin is doing great. Talking lots and spending most of his time outside. He goes farming once in a while with Grandpa R. and really loves that. They just grow up way too fast. I have enclosed a few pics from the past week. Will blog again soon. Bye for now
Jodi wants to thank everyone who came to the party from far and near. It was great to see everyone.

Hello All
Just some catch up gossip. The boys are doing absolutely wonderful. We are now getting ready for Ian's first birthday. He is sooooooooo close to walking. He is quite the little character. There are always so many little things that the boys do - its hard to keep track of all of them. I also don't want to bore everyone with what "I" think is cute and awesome, and all of you might not. lol Anyway, our new puppy moved in with us on Saturday. She is a good girl. The big boys welcomed her happily into their world. I was totally shocked. We have not let her sleep with the guys yet, as I wanted her to spend more time outside with them. So sleeping has been quite the ordeal, as she is verrrrry lonely without her momma and 7 siblings. She loves it outside so we have been letting her spend most of the day out their. Mals are known to "Mal talk" a.k.a. howling - and boy does she know how to do that. Looks like a coyote howling at the moon. She has been so good for biffy times. I bought some of those pee pads and she always runs into the front porch and does her business on the pads. Awesome. Last night she slept with me on the futon in the spare room and was not up all night. Good Good girl - so far. I have added a couple of pics of her and the boys. Hope you enjoy. Will write soon

New Addition coming soon

Hello everyone in Blog land. Not much has been happening. The boys are doing grrrrreat. Getting into trouble and keeping their mommy very very busy. What a pair those 2 are. Ian is cruising everywhere, standing alone and soon should be walking. They grow up so fast. Hard to believe that Ian and Ella are 11 months old. Time flies way too fast. I guess this year was exceptionally busy with the new babies, building a house and Mom being sick and leaving us. It has just gone by in sort of a blur. Devin is loving it outside, unfortunately, the yard is a mess, and then so is he, but he has fun anyway.
Dave and I have purchased a new addition to our family. She will be coming to live with us in about 3 weeks. She is a registered Alaskan Malamute. Gorgeous pooch. Hopefully our other 2 will take to her well. We are really trying to get our sled dogs going. Kodie and Nukkie have been running with the kick sled this winter a little, and hopefully next winter much much more. I have enclose a picture of Dekko taken last week. Hope you enjoy. Will keep up with the grandkids and the dogs on a more regular basis.

little update
Hello to all. Everything is going fine here. The boys are doing great. Ian is walking around everything, but still needs to hang on. And getting into absolutely evvvvvvvverything. LOL Devin is spending time outside in the snow and mud these days. Talking a mile a minute. Ian has tooth #7 - fourth top one and still only 3 on the bottom. I looked after them yesterday, Grandma needs to get into better shape - hahahaha. They are a pair of goers and they feed off each other. Kept me busy all day, and played me out. But I loved it. They are so much fun and 2 great little guys. Anyway, Jodi and Jason sold their Wpg. house. Got more then they listed it for, so they are happy. Now they are going shopping for some new appliances. Hope that goes well. No real new pics at this point, maybe in a couple of weeks.
Enough for now. Bye

Hello to All
Well, finally a new post. Grandma's little angels are doing very well. Ian is crawling all over the place, standing up every where and getting into everything. :) He has 5 teeth and is really trying to cut the other 3. Such a difference in 2 little boys. Devin had his first teeth at 4 mths old and Ian 7 mths. Devin was a terrible sleeper and Ian a great sleeper. Devin ate pablum and food from about 1 mth on cause he wasn't a big milk drinker and Ian loves milk and didn't start eating until 5 mths old. Now he wants everything in site. Devin talks non stop. And some of the little sayings they come out with, unreal. Yesterday was Shelby's 12th birthday - happy birthday Shelby. She had a roller skating party. It was a lot of fun. Tho I did not get on skates, pretty much everyone else did. I wished I would have tho, oh well. Devin took his first shot at roller skating. Didn't do badly...... He didn't go on his own at all, except on the carpeted area, but got a good start with Auntie and Mom. He loved it when Shelby's Dad skated around the arena with him. I think he liked the wind blowing through his hair cause they were going so fast. Anyway, things went well and life is good. I have some pictures of Devin roller skating and Ian at Christmas, and we will keep in touch. Bye for now

It's Been a While
Hello to all: I know, I know, its been a while. Sorry. The loss of a verrrry important member of my family really turned my world upside down. I am still trying to deal with it. So, on a brighter note - and needing to change the subject, I will tell a little about Grandma's Angels. Devin is talking up a storm. I can't believe what that child comes out with. He has picked up all these little sayings that maybe aren't always the best but makes me laugh. Like the other day Jodi asked him to do something, he looked at her sternly and said "A Minute" Just cracked me up. He is going thru a phase where he does not want to wear clothes, only pyjamas, and if you need to get him dressed, it is a fight. The little one: well Ian is finally decided to try and cut some more teeth. One top one and another bottom one have been trying to come thru this week. He is crawling everywhere, and stands up at everything, and is trying to climb everything. He instantly went from rolling around on the floor to becoming a monkey......in a few days. What a charmer he is. Just the happiest little fella you have ever seen. He was at the doctors office yesterday, weighs a little over 21 lbs and is almost 30 inches tall. So he is doing well. Eats most everything and likes to eat what you are eating. And the bonus - he sleeps through most nights. The odd time he wakes up once, but most of the time he sleeps through. So that's a good thing. Jodi and Jason are all settled into their new home and have the old one pretty much ready for market. Should be going up for sale in the next week or so. Hopefully, it won't take long to sell. Anyway, blogger friends, gotta run. Will blog soon, with some new pics.
