They've moved in

Well, the Rosenthals have moved into their new home. They spent their first night there last night and Jodi says all went well. Not quite everything is there yet. Have some stuff to finish up at the old house and odds and ends to clear out. But the major move is done. The boys are doing great. Devin is talking......talking........talking..........hahaha. Those 2 little guys are so much fun and very busy. Ian has 2 teeth so far and is really trying to crawl.....he rolls around all over the place and pulls himself with his hands and arms, then he gets up on all fours and sort of tosses himself forward until he gets where he wants to go. Christmas is so close and we are all excited for Santa to come..........

Anyway, put up a few pics of the house in its disarray, sort of. The pic of the outside is from a while back, but forgot to take new pics yesterday during the daylight ours. Post soon

Its been a long time

Sooooo sorry for such a long delay. Busy Busy time for all. Jodi and Jason's house is almost complete. Hopefully they will be moving in next weekend (Dec. 10). Just the final finishes to do. The house looks wonderful. They have done a fine fine job in all areas. Will put up some picks soon.
The boys, well, they are just wonderful little people. Devin is talking up a storm. It took him a little while to decide to start talking (just like his mom) but now he says absolutely everything. Talking sentences and carrying on conversations like mad. What a smart little whip he is. His little brother has cut his first tooth finally. The day he turned 7 mths old, unlike his brother who cut his first tooth at 4 mths 6 days old. What a difference between those 2 little boys. Ian is so relaxed, layed back. Couldn't care less about much of anything. He loves to be on the floor. Rolls everywhere, starting to be up on all fours, so may be crawling soon. He finally decided he was going to eat food. So now eats like mad. He still is a wonderful sleeper. And one happy, cuddley little fellow. He smiles and laughs at everything, and the two boys just loooooove each other so much.
Well, looking forward to christmas with the little ones, that is so exciting. Will post very soon. Get some pics up on the net this time. Bye for now

The boys are doing well

Hello to all

Ian and Devin had a doctors appointment yesterday. Devin was not impressed, seems frightened, guess he figures he's going to get a needle everytime. Tho he didn't have to have one, maybe this will help chase the scaries away. He was 25 and a half pounds and 35 and a half inches tall. He's 2 inches over average height for his age group. The weight is pretty much right on. Now Ian on the other hand, he was 25 and a half inches long and weighs a whopping 17 lbs. 6 oz. which is over 2 lbs. above average weight and 1 inch above average height. He is doing so well. He didn't even cry when he got his needles. He is such a happy guy. Just like Devin. He smiles and laughs and thinks everything is funny. He loves his exersaucer and the jumperoo.
Devin is really talking alot. He calls me MaMa........Makes tears come to my eyes. Jodi and Jason's house is coming along quickly. Hopefully they will be into it in November. Well I have added a couple of pictures and will catch up soon.

The pics

Finally some updates

Sorry it has been so long, just doesn't seem to be enough time in a day. I have some updated pictures for everyone to see.
Last weekend we celebrated Devin's 2nd birthday. He got tons of stuff and we all had a blast. The weather was great so we set up the kids pool and the kids were able to play in the water for a while in the afternoon. We had a bar-b-que and a wonderful cake.
The picture of Devin in the tub with his clothes on, was taken when Jodi discovered that he had somehow gotten into the tub by himself. Needless to say, he and all his clothes and diaper were well soaked. Haha
Ian is growing like a bad weed. We have no idea what he weighs, but he definitely is quite a lug. He is a good little guy. Jodi has started him on some pablum. But not that often yet. He still sleeps anywhere from 8 to 9 hours before waking at night, so that has been very very good. He goes to bed around 8 p.m. and then wakes anywhere between 5 and 6 a.m.
Work on their house is going good. I think Jodi said they were pouring the ICF walls today. From there the roof will go on and then they will start the inside walls. Well, enough for now. Below are some pictures, or maybe above, I never can tell on this thing. Hope to hear from everyone soon. Bye for now

Growing - Growing - Growing

Well, here are a few pictures taken in the last couple of weeks. Both boys are doing great. Ian is sleeping through the night, what a change from when his big brother was small hahaha. Devin is starting to talk up a storm. He loves the outdoors. Loves to play out there. Pushes things around and digs in the stones and does whatever he can find to do. When they go out to Grandpa and Grandma Rosenthals he loves to be on the tractor, on the quad, anything, but in the house.
Ian went for his first shots yesterday, everything went very well. He hardly cried, and didn't seem to have much side affects from them. He weighed over 14 pounds and was 24 1/4 inches long. He is doing extremely well, so the doctor says. He is a happy and content little fellow. He's smiling, laughing, cooing and just all around content to be where ever you put him. So long as its not 7:30 in the evening, that is when he has a fussy spell. Anyway, enough for now, will blog soon. Bye for now

Update

Well, hello all in blog land. Haven't updated for a while so thought I had better do that.

Grandma's angels are doing great. Devin is really starting to say lots of stuff. He lost the please word for a while, but seems to have found it again. He's also very protective of his little brother, and as soon as he starts to fuss, Devin is right there trying to give him things (usually a toy) to settle him down. He doesn't get the concept that Ian is too little to play with toys, but he tries very hard and that's a good thing.

Ian was to his 1 mth. doctor appt. last week, he weighed 12 lbs. 2 oz. and 23 inches long. The pediatrician told Jodi he was over average in both weight and height, but then he started out over average in the Weight department, and he certainly isn't getting any smaller hahaha. He sure is a good sleeper at night also. He goes down for the night usually between 9 and 10 and wakes up between 4 and 5. Certainly a different eater and sleeper from his big brother. Thank heavens. Well for now, that's about it. I have attached a couple of pics taken last Saturday of Ian. Hopefully this weekend I can get some of the 2 together. Talk to everyone soon.

He does actually open his eyes

Here is a picture of Ian with his eyes OPEN. It does actually happen once in a while.

Just a wee update

Well, Ian is now 3 weeks old. He is doing very well. Still only wakes once per night. He still sleeps alot during the day, but is starting to stay awake a little more. His big brother sure loves him alot. As soon as Ian makes any sort of noise, Devin is right there checking him out. And Devin..............hmmmmmm.................. I think he's starting into the terrible 2's. Tho its not too bad yet. He really has a mind of his own. But he is such a sweety. He's talking quite a bit and quite clear, and understands everything you say to him. Half the time you have to spell things out if you don't want him to know what you are saying. He loves to play outside, and loves to be out at grandma and grandpa Rosenthal's riding around on the tractor or any other machine that moves. He is just going to love living out there.
I sure love those 2 little grandson's of mine. Take care all and will update soon.

A little update

Hello to everyone - well, everything seems to be going pretty good (touch wood). Ian seems to have settled in quite nicely. Seems to be very content so far, and sleeps well at night, come to think of it, sleeps well during the day - as you will see in the pics below. I have very few pictures of him with his eyes open. We went to visit Carrie, Ben and Ella yesterday, and I have some pics below of the 2 wee ones and then the four little ones. We had a good time and little Ella is a sweety. Very bright, alert and strong. Ian has a tendancy to be laid back, and sleepy hahaha. I spent most of the last week and a half with the Rosenthal family, and now coming home has been tough. I miss them alot. Devin is such a live wire, and I really miss his smile, laugh, and the cute way he says things. Come to think of it, I miss everything........... :( Oh well, I will survive.

Below are a few pics of the kids or maybe above, I never know which way they are going to turn out, so bear with me please. Anyway, will keep updating the blog whenever I can.

Bye for now

Name

Well, Jodi and Jason decided to name their new son Ian Lucas Rosenthal. His big brother sure loves him. Jodi and Ian came home on Tuesday. She was pretty stiff and sore, but was quite a bit better today. The little man seems to be doing quite well, tho I don't want to jinx it. He eats very good and sleeps pretty good at night. Tho he seems to like to be awake from around midnight until about 2 but then sleeps straight through until around 6 or 7. This morning he was awake around 7. So that was a good sleep from 2-7, but then he wakes up hungry as a horse hahaha. He sure loves to be held too. If you get him to sleep and then lay him down, within 5 min. he's awake fussing, so you pick him up and back to sleep he goes. He's pretty funny. Devin is doing good, even tho this new baby thing has turned his little world upside down. He seems to be coping with it fairly well. He really loves to hold Ian, and every time he cries he runs over to him and rubs his hair. So hopefully this will continue. Anyway, I came home today to let the kids have some alone time. Will go back in tomorrow and will see how it goes from there. Catch up with all real soon.

Well, its over with

And grandma has 2 little boy angels.................

Lucas __________ Rosenthal was born April 29, 2006 at 01:12 by c-section. Jodi dilated to 9 but seems this little fellow was the same as Devin and thought he was going to try and come out with his head sideways. He was not so little tho, as he weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs. 5 ozs. and 21 inches tall. Quite dark hair, and cute as a button. I have also added some pics for now. Mom and baby are both doing quite well.

Will add more in a day or 2

well that didn't exactly turn out right

Well that was a little backwards, but I guess you will all get the idea. The pics just seemed to go in the wrong way, oh well, you just get to see the "after look" before the "before look".......

Hmmm

Sorry

Before - and after

Before..................

And After........................

This little guys went for his first haircut today. He did really well, better then Grandma. She cried when the lady was cutting off his curls. It was heart wrenching to see that happen for the first time. He's growing up way too fast. Looks like a little boy now.........not my little grandbaby. Well hopefully grandbaby #2 won't take too long in coming, then I will have both my little boy fix and a baby fix.

Jodi's doctors appt. went well today. She is doing okay. Very uncomfortable and lots of Braxton Hicks. Maybe that's a sign of good things to come. We are all hopeful that this one will be born naturally. It would be much easier on all of them I would suspect. Anyway, will keep everyone updated as much as possible.

Bye for now

Came and went

Well, my birthday came and went and no little babies born on that day :-( oh well, can't force them to come out hahaha. My family is anxiously awaiting the new arrival. Can't come soon enough for Jodi. Looking forward to Devin coming to stay with Grandma and Pappa. We went out for brunch yesterday and discovered that Devin has 2 of his 2 year old molars through. That little man has always popped out his teeth without any problem. Never even know he is cutting teeth.
He is such a sweety - everytime he sees my purse he gets all excited yelling nannies, nannies cause he knows grandma has gummi life savers in her purse. He never really eats them, he justs gets all excited about them and plays with them. The odd time he will eat one. He is just so funny and cute. He is heading for his first hair cut on Tuesday. For me that is sad.....he has the most beautiful long blonde hair in the back with some curl in it. Hair just like his mommies hair. But I guess it needs to be done, especially when someone called him a princess the other night. That really made me laugh. He was dressed in his usual very boyish clothes with a denim jacket and a blue cap - and they called him a princess - some people are surely blind. He no where near resembles a girl. lol His dad would never allow that. In fact Jason doesn't even like him hanging out much with the women in cause he turns into a sissy hahahaha. That will never happen, that little fellow is all boy - all cars and trucks and hanging out outside. Not much girly in him. Anyway, will keep blogland posted with any new news. Happy Easter everyone.

The wait is on

Well, not a whole lot new with Grandma's angels. Devin is loving the outside. His waking hours are wanting to be spent outside. He loves his wagon and going for rides and loves to play outside. He never wants to come indoors. Jodi had the flu over the weekend, which was too bad. Couldn't keep anything down, but is feeling back to normal now - and even lost a couple of pounds instead of gaining this week. Her doctor's appointment was yesterday. Everything is well. Baby's bum is staring Jodi in the face - at least that's what her doctor said. So that's a good thing. Seems to be staying in the head down position. She also says the baby is well over 8 lbs. at this point and she still has 2 weeks left to due date. She's getting very uncomfortable and is getting anxious for this little one to appear. I think most everything is pretty much ready, its just now the waiting game. Will update as any new news comes available. Bye all in blog land

Puddle jumping

Well, little Devin learned the joys of rubber boots and puddle jumping the other day. Jodi tells me he had a blast. His dad was washing the car and Devin was washing his boots, right in the middle of a big puddle. Jodi said he was having so much fun. Came in soaked but happy. Things are going very well with his new room and big boy bed. He seems to like it, and sleeps well. Gets up in the morning, runs to their bedroom doorway and says "Hi"............ Like he's been doing this for years hahaha. Doctor appointment tomorrow, will update some more then.

Big Boy and his Big Boy Bed

Well, here is the little man and there is his big boy bed. He had his first sleep in it last night, and all went well. But that is just the beginning. Hopefully, he will like it and do well it his new bed and his new room. He had his afternoon nap there today, and slept well. We will see what happens from here.

4 weeks to go

Well, at least we hope its only 4 weeks to go............ Unless this one is as late as its big brother was............ but for Jodi's sake we hope not. She has certainly changed shape since last weekend. Angel #2 seems to be sitting up and down more and it looks a little like her belly has dropped somewhat. She has a cold, the sniffles again, and here poor Jason has to listen to even louder snoring then he has for the last few months. The only time she snores is when she has a cold or when she's pregnant - hahaha - now its twice as bad. Shelby is staying there this week because of spring break, so she has a little helper. Great grandma and I were there yesterday, we got the puter room cleared out, a dresser moved in and tomorrow goes in the big boy bed. That otta be fun for a little while. Hopefully, he will be a good boy and stay in his bed. Hopefully, he will adjust to a new room. He now gets to sleep in the big boy room.
He is starting to talk so much...........says so many different things. Some still hard to understand, but most of it is pretty legible. His grandma loves him so much.... :-)
Until next time............................

Dr. update

Well, today was Jodi's appt. and Angel #2 must have gotten a little worried, cause this morning Jodi felt that baby do this big flip.............and when she went to the doctor, the baby was in the head down position. So looks like (at least we are very hopeful) that this little one may be in the birthing position and hopefully will stay that way. The heart rate was pretty fast (180) to start with but then slowed down later at the appt. to 160. So doctor was quite happy with all that.
Now we just have to wait and hope that everything stays well. Next appt. is April 7 and we will see where things go from there.

Grandma's angels: Well, look at this. Both of grandma's angels in one photo. This is 7 weeks away from the due date. Devin is starting to get used to the tummy. Hopefully he will love his new sister/brother as much as he does right now. We are all awaiting the arrival and all who have gone through the grandma thing - knows how exciting this can be. So, will keep waiting patiently and updating with news whenever some comes available.

Angel #2 update

Well, up to this time, Angel #2 seems to be sitting breech. At least that's the way he/she was 2 weeks ago at the last doctor's appt. He doctor said that if the baby has not turned by next appt. (March 21), they will send her for a fetal assessment, if all is well there, they will try turn the baby. We are unsure whether #2 is still breech or whether it has decided to turn on its own, but 1 more week should tell the tale. The weeks are just flying by. I can't believe there's only 6 weeks left. Seems just yesterday that we found out. haha. I am sure for Jodi though, the time can't go fast enough. She's getting quite uncomfortable. And pretty big. Hmmm is angel #2 going to try and out weigh angel #1. I hope not.

Angel #2 has just completed his second round of swimming lessons, and passed. Jodi says that he enjoyed the lessons and loved to jump in off the side of the pool. Grandma didn't even get to see him this time around. Sorry little man. I thought I had next weekend yet, and was going to come in Sunday to watch. I guess I will have to wait until next time around.
The move to a big boy bed will be coming soon. That could be verrrrry interesting.

Will keep in touch and update on the next dr. appt. Bye for now

We are sooooo looking forward to spoiling 2 of them. I can't wait.

Grandma's angel #1. He sure loves his Jeep that grandma and pappa gave him for christmas. Toots around the house.....now if he could learn how to steer the darn thing hahaha.

He sure loves his cars
